The Twins Ankh Ring

Mystery teachers for the longest time have debated the meaning of the Ankh/Key of Life. Its origins and meaning.

And while the general consensus is clear, I chose to recreate my Ankh ring with a black diamond pavé border, keeping the original white diamonds to represent Shu and Tefnut.

Shu and Tefnut represent the masculine and feminine forces of creation. They are also the parents of Nut and Geb.

The oval at the top represents the feminine, Tefnut, the receptive, creative force.

The T-shape below represents the masculine, Shu, the force of breath, expansion and structure.

When these two opposing yet complementary forms come together, they create the Ankh, the Key of Life.

United as one.
Life.

That is the inspiration behind my interpretation of the Ankh, expressed through the contrast of white and black diamonds.
